1994 Ford Thunderbird LX
This is a very nice car
but it has a mechanical problem. If you're good with cars or know someone who
is, you can get a pretty nice car cheap. This car is 6cyl, very fast and handles
great. It is fully loaded with power everything, even the seat is power and the
moonroof is very nice. It's a great color, aquafoam (dark green\blue). The car
has 135K miles which is almost 20K\yr but they're highway miles. (They'd have to
be highway to be so high on a newer car) Also, the head gasket on the car has
already gone and been replaced. The head was replaced at the same time.
The problem with this
car is that is stalls frequently. I haven't been able to figure out what the
problem is. I am fairly certain that you would need to be able to hook it up to
a computer to diagnose the problem. This problem is very possibly a bad sensor
or switch. Worst case scenario it's electrical and costs several hundred
dollars. It needs one signal light and the fan dial on the dashboard is also disconnected in the back so you
cannot turn on the fan with the heat or vent.
The car runs fine, and
shifts ok. It could be driven away but you may not get very far. Strongly
suggest it be towed but it'll run if you come look at it. Once the car stalls it
cannot be restarted until it sits for at least 10 min, and sometimes up to a
half hour.
